Finishing

Our automatic rumbling machines allow us to provide you with castings that are aesthetically pleasing as well as having all the sharp edges removed. We also have a team of experienced hand finishers to deal with those awkward parting lines.

Shot Blasting, Booth and Carousel.
APL use advanced blasting technologies, which remove most types of unwanted surfaces quickly, but without the use of hazardous chemicals, and without generating hazardous waste.

Vibro deburr.
Vibratory Finishing is a process that works on a chemical-mechanical basis of finish surfaces.

Polishing.
Conventional high lustre polishing techniques can produce appearances similar to chrome plating or stainless steel. When lacquered, these finishes are suitable for decorative, interior applications.

Painting.
All alloys form an excellent base for paints. To aid paint adhesion, phosphate or chromate pre-treatments are often employed. Zinc alloys can also be electrostatically painted.

Assembly.
Where requested we can assemble components to reduce the customers inventory.

Packing.
Components can be packed in standard boxes or in special paletisation in readiness for subsequent automated assembly lines.
